Richard Yonck is the highly acclaimed author of HEART OF THE MACHINE: Our Future in a World of Artificial Emotional Intelligence. A best-seller in several categories on Amazon, his book is now required reading in several college courses involving machine learning and user experience/interface design.
Richard is a futurist and keynote speaker who explores strategic futures for clients, readers and audiences to help them better prepare for potential eventualities and to identify and promote their preferred future. His focus is on emerging technologies and how these are likely to impact business and society along with their potential unanticipated consequences. Richard’s clients include Amazon, Samsung, Xerox, Naturipe Berry Growers and the Washington Public Utility Districts Association. He works with a breadth of industry sectors ranging from agriculture, education and employment to government, marketing, publishing and technology.
Writing regularly about the future and emerging technologies, Richard’s work has featured in numerous publications including The Futurist Magazine, where he was the computing/AI contributing editor for several years. He’s written for Scientific American, World Future Review, Fast Company, Wired, Psychology Today, H+ Magazine, American Cinematographer, The Seattle Times and many others.
Richard is currently completing his next book, OUR INTELLIGENT FUTURE, about the future of intelligence in the 21st century and beyond.
