Meet the Millennial Generation. Also known as Generation Y and the Echo Boomers, millions of them have joined the adult world since 2000, and they are now entering the workforce faster than you can say “retiring Baby Boomers.” Learning how to effectively connect with this dynamic and influential generation is essential for those who hire, sell to, teach, or parent Millennials, or wish to enlist Millennials’ support.

Futurist.com offers half-day workshops and keynote presentations that shed light on the Millennial Generation—their social context, values and amazing diversity. The programs are presented by consultant Kanna Hudson, herself a Millennial. Contact us to book a program on the Millennial Generation.

Meet the Millennials
The Millennial Generation – those Americans born between roughly 1982 and 2002 – is the largest generation in U.S. history, and they are becoming adults by the millions every year. This program provides a look at the social contexts and trends that shape this generation of 80 million young people. It goes beyond generalized characteristics to look at the contextual factors that shape how Millennials think, learn, work, and interact. Whether you are raising Millennial kids, you manage Millennial employees, or you teach Millennials in a classroom, this program will offer you fascinating, useful information about Millennials and technology, culture, education, communication, and the economy.

Values for a New Generation
With the coming of age of the Millennial Generation, our world is changing fast. Urgent questions press all of us – climate change, the economy, socioeconomic disparities, race, educational achievement gaps, and more. These issues implore us to establish common values to guide us through the next several decades, and Millennials are already embracing many of these new values. From stewardship to community, and service to voice, the young members of the Millennial Generation offer both time-honored and innovative wisdom on how to create lasting positive changes in the environment, business, education, and our communities.

Diversity and the Millennial Generation
Perhaps the Millennials Generation’s most unique and exciting characteristic is its diversity. With 80 million young people in the United States today, the Millennials are more diverse than any previous generation. There are increasing numbers of young people of color, first- and second-generation immigrants, and mixed-race young people among the Millennials. In addition, many Millennials are active in movements for equity for people with disabilities, LGBTQ rights, and women’s rights. The Millennial Generation’s diversity raises challenging questions – both emerging and enduring – about policies, disparities, and relations in our communities. In this program, we will look to history as well as current information to explore how the Millennial Generation is changing the face of the U.S.
