9/11 Retrospective

This section on the events of September 11, 2001 was created at the old Futurist.com website shortly after that day. We have decided to preserve it here. There are many things we know now that we did not know then: that it was a world changing event, but partly or even mostly because of over-reaction, the dishonest use of the event to pursue other agendas, and I believe in the U.S. because of lingering traumatic shock and manipulated fear. But, the event did happen, it was important, and here were some collected ideas and emotions of that time.
