Amy Frazier

Amy Frazier, Associate at Futurist.com, is a consultant, teacher, writer and performer based in Seattle, Washington. Her programs for Futurist.com focus upon issues of creativity and innovation, including: Creative Problem Solving, and Innovation & Creativity for the 21st Century.

Through her own company, Stages of Presence, Amy provides training in creativity, communication and presentation skills for leadership and organizational development. The programs, which blend the art and science of creativity, increase capacities for leadership, authenticity, strategic collaboration, and break-through thinking.

Amy is a student of the Master of Science in Creativity Studies at the International Center for Studies in Creativity at Buffalo State College. She blogs for Futurist.com and Entrepreneur the Arts, and is a member of AACORN — the Arts, Aesthetics, Creativity and Organization Research Network. Her work has been presented internationally, at the International Organization Development Association World Conference 2007, and the European Conference of Creativity and Innovation 2009.

As a theatre professional, Amy acted, directed, created and produced theatre for over two decades, including creating theatre companies in Chicago, Seattle and Europe. She was a founding member of the Ardeo Theatre Project, a theatre ensemble dedicated to developing and teaching theatre at the Château du St. Julien l’Ars in central France. She is currently completing a book based on the experience.

Brenda Cooper

Let your imagination run freely into the future, accompanied by curiosity and hope.

Brenda is a technology professional, a science fiction writer and a futurist.

As a futurist, she has worked with Glen Hiemstra for over ten years. Brenda writes regularly for Futurist.com and engages in public speaking about the future, technology and writing. She also gives keynote addresses regularly to business audiences, primarily in the northwest, although she can occasionally be induced to travel further.

Brenda is a member of the Futurist Board for the Lifeboat Foundation.

As a technology professional, Brenda started out in Aerospace, where she worked on some of the early efforts to apply knowledge engineering to the field. She is now CIO of the City of Kirkland, Washington.

As a writer, Brenda has worked extensively with the well-known science fiction author Larry Niven. She and Larry’s collaborative fiction has appeared in Analog and Asimov’s science fiction. They have a current book out from Tor, BUILDING HARLEQUIN’S MOON. Her solo fiction has appeared in Nature, Analog, Strange Horizons, The Salal Review, and multiple anthologies. Brenda’s first solo book, THE SILVER SHIP AND THE SEA, came out in March, 2007 and won an Endeavor Award. Her most recent novel, READING THE WIND, came out in 2008. The third book in the series, WINGS OF CREATION, will be out in November of 2009.

Brenda was educated at California State University, Fullerton, where she earned a BA in Management Information Systems. She lives in Bellevue, Washington with her partner, Toni Cramer. She has an adult son, David Cooper, a firefighter/paramedic with Cowlitz 2 Fire and Rescue.

Kanna Hudson

Kanna presents programs on The Millennial Generation. A former professional academic counselor, Kanna worked with Millennial college students in conversation about their dreams, values, and futures. As an instructor at the University of Washington, she designed and instructed courses for Millennial college students on making the most of college and preparing for adult life. She also teaches a course at the University of Washington called “The Millennial Generation.”

In addition to her work with college students, Kanna worked as an educator for five years for Millennials aged ten to sixteen, and facilitated a regular conversation group on diversity between Millennials and seniors. Kanna has worked in organizational planning and evaluation, and is currently working toward a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies. Born in 1982, she has been honing her expertise on how this generation thinks, works, plays, interacts, and feels for 26 years.
