Robots

Before this week is over, I wanted to alert you to a video that I just came across, in an article on Robots at a blog site called Open the Future.
This video is of a “packbot” called “Big Dog.” The robot was built by Boston Dynamics. Watch the video, and then I’d suggest you check out these sources.
This robot is spooky. Makes me think way more than ever that robots will indeed be important to out nearer term future.

Unbelievable what people can do nowadays. Makes you wonder what the future will be like when things like this are no longer for military use only and you see a BigDog walking down the street. I am in awe.

I saw this and my jaw dropped! I don’t know the first thing about computers but I still think technology is amazing. This is crazy! The way that guy kicked the robot and it regained its balance. Or when it was slipping on the ice. That robot faired much better in those situations than a lot of people I know would! Wow. All I can say.

I’m not too worried about it. Once they become silent… then I will be freaked out.
